"QUIET TIME WORDS: By Carla-Rae "People Pleasing"

" We spend much of our time and effort trying not to disappoint people; Whether it be family members, friends, acquaintances even to the point of over doing, just to please them. The question is, do we spend that much effort in our relationship to Creator God Almighty? He longs for our presence and fellowship. After all, He Created us for fellowship/relationship with Him. The next time the need to please people, just so we look good in their eyes, (that's what we do it for isn't it?),  how about we give equal, if not more, time to God. It is in HIS eyes we, truly, need to be pleasing. Just sayin." Peace

  1. “He longs for our presence and fellowship” . . . Why is it so hard for us to catch a glimpse of this awesome fact . . . so hard to make it more than religious sentiment? Even though we know it’s the truest of all things, doesn’t it often sound like a message coming from a great distance . . . hard for our hearts to hear?

I’m convinced that so much of the pain we walk in is from our fatherlessness. We are unfinished and to move forward we need what only a father can give. But for many the concept of “Father” sits somewhere between a blank screen and a train wreck. We must REMEMBER with great intent that we are his beloved sons and beloved daughters. And knowing this helps us to summon the courage to approach him as our true father . . . and find out why a perfect father longs for our presence and fellowship. This is our great treasure largely unexplored . . . Yeshua has opened the door to the Father but we must walk through. In His presence we are slowly and irreversibly awakened to who we truly are.

    Thanks for the reminder!
